Your attitude can have a “make it” or “break it” effect on your business and your life.  Many things will happen in the course of running a business, and how you respond to those events and circumstances will help to create your success or your failure.

How can you improve your chances of business success?  How can you improve your attitude?  It is my belief that if you do what you love to do, the money will follow.  When you are busy doing what you love to do, you take pride in each and every aspect of your work.  Unfortunately we have been taught to evaluate jobs on how much money we will make and the job benefits.  As a result, we have most people working at jobs they hate, with little or no job satisfaction.  Very few people today work with passion and persistence - because they do not love their work.

In order to be a crafting success, define what it is you love to do and then develop your skill (Remember Secret # 2) and passion and persistence are sure to follow.  Rather than trying to develop  a good attitude for a job you hate, start to create the life's work that you love.....and you will find  positive attitudes will develop.  As you begin to do what you love to do, you will feel better about yourself and you will feel a greater purpose in your life.  Don’t think that this involves quitting your job right away. Start by investing a little portion of each day doing what you love, this can and will create great change.

Passion and persistence can be your greatest allies while procrastination will be your greatest enemy.

When you start your own business one of the hardest things to overcome is the natural tendency to procrastinate, or put things off.  Since you are the business, there is no one else to make your plans work, there is no boss looking over your shoulder checking to see if you are making your deadlines, no co-workers to shift the blame to. Like the old saying, “The buck stops HERE.”

Personal initiative is the opposite of procrastination.  Personal initiative is the dynamo which starts your ideas and imagination into action.  It is the process of translating your ideas, goals and desires into physical form. The best way to get started doing anything -- is to START! The hardest step is the very first one. To prepare for that first step, sit down with pen and paper and map out a plan. Develop a step by step plan for success....and then get busy! Try it, you’ll love it.
