Bullion Baubles

Chain 33

Row 1: s.c. in second chain from hook, s.c. in each chain across, turn (32 s.c. made)

Note: for split s.c., insert hook from front to back through center of st between vertical bars (see illustration), y.o. and pull through, y.o. and pull trough both loops on hook (split sc completed).

Row 2: ch 1, split s.c. in first 4 sts; * for bullion st, loosely wrap yarn around hook 5 times, insert hook in top of next st, y.o. and pull through, y.o. and pull through all loops on hook, ch 1 tightly enough to draw st into a loop (stitch completed); split s.c. in next 4 sts; repeat form * 3 more times, turn

Row 3; ch 1, split s.c. in each s.c. and s.c. in top of each bullion st across (32 s.c. z)

Row 4; ch 1, work each st of row according to graph, turn

Repeat rows 3 & 4 to desired length, ending with row 3

Row 1: s.c. in second ch fr hook and 1 s.c. in each chain across for 33 s.c. ch1, turn

Row 2: s.c. in first 6 sts, (s.c., ch 9 tightly, s.c., ch 10 tightly, s.c., ch 9 tightly, s.c.) in next st; (s.c. in next 9 sts, repeat tulip st ) twice, s.c. in last 6 sts, ch 1, turn

Row 3: s.c. in first 6 sts, (holding loops toward front of work, skip first s.c. at base of loops, s.c. next 2 s.c. together, skip last s.c., s.c. in next 9 sts) twice; holding loops to front of work, skip first s.c. at base of loops; s.c. next 2 s.c. together, skip last s.c. at base of loops, s.c. in last 6 sts, ch 1, turn

Row 4: s.c. across, ch 1, turn

Row 5: s.c. in first 3 sts; * inserting hook through first loop of next tulip, s.c. in next st; skip centre loop, s.c. in next 5 sts; inserting hook through last loop of same tulip as you work, s.c. in next st; s.c. in next 3 sts; repeat from* across, ch 1 turn

Row 6: s.c. across, ch 1, turn

Row 7: s.c. in first 6 sts; * inserting hook through center loop of next tulip, work 6 d.c. in next st; s.c. in next 9 sts; repeat from * across ending last repeat with s.c. in last 6 sts. ch 1, turn

Row 8: s.c. in first 6 sts; * ch 1, skip next 6 d.c., s.c. in next 4 sts; work tulip loops in next st, s.c. in next 4 sts; repeat from *, ch 1 skip next 6 d.c., s.c. in last 6 sts, ch 1, turn

Row 9: *s.c. in each s.c. and in each ch across to next set of loops, (holding loops toward front of work, skip first s.c. at base of loops; s.c. next 2 s.c. tog., skip last s.c. at base); repeat from * , s.c. in each s.c. and in each ch across (33 s.c.) ch 1, turn

Row 10: s.c. across, ch 1 turn
