I find paper-piecing to be one of the most immediately rewarding and exacting methods of putting pieces of fabric together to form intricate and not-so-intricate quilt squares around. As an avid sampler quilt creator, I thought, "It's about time that some 12" finished quilt block patterns for paper-piecing become available."
I like to have my work be as
professional and perfectly pieced as possible, me and patience such perfection
demands. So; here we go with some paper-piecing patterns for 12"
blocks... My hope is that you too will find these blocks easy, exacting
and fun to create. You can use these line drawings as
you plan what colors and fabrics to use to create your
blocks. There are many combinations possible with this
block - here are four to get you started:
In order to form the 12" quilt square, you will need to construct four of these 6" blocks. Happy planning and creating !
This block is featured in the middle of the bottom row of the blue quilt shown on the Of My Hands web page.
Although more quilt square patterns will be featured in future newsletters, you can get the full set of 13 by ordering your book, "It's About Time !" directly from Of My Hands.
