Quilted Placemat

With an added set of napkins this quilted placemat is a great project for the festive season.

Standard Placemat 12" x 18"

Supplies:
        1/3 yard one placemat
        Yardage requirements for four is 1-1/3 yd.

Sewing Instructions:
        1) Cut two rectangles 12-1/2" x 18-1/2"
        2) Place right sides together and stitch around the four sides using a 1/4" seam  
            allowance.  Leave an opening 3" long on one of the sides.  Clip the corners.
            Turn to the right side.  Press
        3) Top stitch around the edges about 3/8" from the edge.

        Standard napkin size is 18" x 18"
