Are you traveling to warmer climates this winter?? Excellent - I’ll be jealous but, I still wish you a great trip! Have you started your sun protective travel wardrobe yet? Haven’t thought that far ahead? Well - here’s your call to action. Start planning your sun safe wardrobe today.
Make a few “all in one” items that travel well.. How about making light weight “poncho” that you can throw over your tank top/shorts outfit. It could fold up in a case and travel in your back pack when not in use. Why not make one of those little fold up hats out of sun protective material. The are very easy to make.
I know “gaiters” are used mostly in the snow, but consider a sun protective pair to slip on your calves while hiking. Just slip them off to splash in the creek!
In the hotter/dryer climates folks wear head scarf’s. Why not make one from light weight, breathable, sun protective fabric. Wrap your head, neck and shoulders up while you shop in open air markets or tramp around those old dusty ruins.
There are many simple ways to protect yourself and your loved ones from harmful UV rays. Just be sure that you look for the UPF (SPF) rating on the fabric that you choose and have a great trip!
Enjoy the sun one an all - Paula
