Sunprotection Tips

Do you have family or friends who are sun sensitive? What better way to say you care than to create sun protective gifts for those folks on your Christmas list. 

Infants need sun protection almost more than adults. A soft hood or stroller cover made of Sun protective fabric would be just the thing. Does someone on your list do a lot of driving? Why not make a simple "driving sleeve" to go over their arm. Is there an outdoors person your thinking of. You can purchase an inexpensive baseball style hat and put a sun protective flap on the back to protect their neck. 

There are many simple ways to protect yourself and your loved ones from the harmful UV rays of the sun. Just remember to look for the UPF (SFP) rating on any sun protective fabric that you choose. 

Baseball Caps

1) If you or your significant other like to wear those mesh baseball style hats - cut a small piece of UV fabric to fit in the crown. In non-sunny situations you can just whip it out of the crown and put it in your golf bag or purse.

2) Or take a little bit of time to line the cap and even the brim of your favorite straw hat. You can be creative and make a matching ribbon for the band!

These small adjustments will protect your scalp, face and neck from damaging UV light and might even give your special bonnet a new lease on life!"
