Washcloth Bib

These bibs are so quick and easy to make, you could do them in your sleep. Even if you do not have children of your own, or your children are grown, these make great gifts. Trust me - you can never have enough bibs!

For one bib you will need:
one wash cloth
18" of ribbon, twill tape or double folded bias tape.

Getting Ready:
Fold the washcloth in half. On the fold, measure down 5cm (2") from the top, make a small mark. Now from the fold across the top, measure over 5cm (2") and make another mark. This is making a small curve in the washcloth for the neck section of the bib.

Cutting
With the washcloth still folded in half and starting at one of the 5cm (2") marks, cut a curve for one 5cm (2") mark to the 5cm (2") mark on the top edge.

Attaching the Ties
Taking your ribbon, fold in half and find the center point. Pin the center of the ribbon at the center point of the bib. If you are using ribbon or twill tape, fold the ribbon in half lengthwise. Pin in place, catching both sides of the ribbon. Turn under 1cm (1/4") on the ends of the ribbon. Stitch close to the edge from one end of the ribbon to the other end, attaching the ribbon to the bib in the center section.

These bibs are not only easy to make but are also great to embellish with appliqu�s or embroidery.
